About Me

My photo
I'm a really big dork and perfectly ok with that. I enjoy life and all of the challenges that come with it. I am a very strong person so it takes a lot to phase me. When a challenge comes my way that tests me a little more than I would like, I have the love and support from loving people who give me the determination I need to make the right decisions.I take relationships very seriously. Trust is something you earn with me...it is not just handed to you. Life is too short to live with regrets.

Back to Reality

Joey and I are back from vacation and we had an AWESOME time! While in Vegas we stayed at the MGM grand and of course tried to do everything we possibley could. We made our way to most of the hotels in the 100+ heat to check out their own unique sites from Mandalay Bay's Shark reef all the way to the rides at the top of the Stratosphere. We saw a comedy show at the Comedy Stop and also went to see "Ka" by Cirque du Soleil. Both of them were very good and I would recommend them to any future Vegas vistors. We also hit up some bars and clubs and even ventured over to the Palms one night. At the Palms, we went to the Ghost Bar, Playboy Club (soooo overrated!!) and the Moon Nightclub. They all had fantastic veiws of the strip and I loved every minute of it. The Moon nightclub was our favorite and by far the nicest nightclub we have ever been too. It was at the top of one of the towers so the roof opened above the dance floor. The night we went was really clear so we danced under the stars. VERY COOL! And of course, we also gambled a little bit and only lost a total of around 100 bucks. Which isn't bad and we had a lot of fun doing it. Only in Vegas could anyone say they had fun losing money.

Thursday was our "Date Day/Night" to celebrate our anniversaries (dating is July 1st and married is July 21) so we spent the day relaxing by the pool with drinks. Joey got burnt and I of course didn't. That day was the hottest...118 degrees. Joey got mad at me because he used sunscreen and got burnt. I didn't use sunscreen but on my sholders and nose and didn't burn at all. That is just how my skin works....so whatever. Anyway, that night we went to a nice dinner at the Strip House at the Planet Hollywood. Our food of course was delicious and for dessert we got a 24 layer chocolate cake. We only ate like a third of it, but it was sooooooo good and very rich. I wish I had a glass of milk to go with it. We then went to see the beautiful fountain show at the Balliagio which was very pretty under the dark sky and the glow of the strip. After that we went to party it up at the Palms(see above notes). This day was perfect and great way celebrate our anniversaries.

We spent the weekend after Vegas in Arizona with Elysia and the slim Jim. We rented a car on Friday morning and drove what should have been a 5 and half to 6 hour drive to Arizona. Joey made it in 4 and half with no speeding tickets. Whatever... I was glad to get there sooner rather than later. We spent the 4th at Jimmy's dads where we hung out with his family and swam in the pool. A thunder and lightening storm rolled in when it started to get dark so we didn't get to see the fireworks. But I have to say the lightening storm was really cool and took the place of the fireworks. It turned the sky so many beautiful colors. I had never seen anything like it. The next day we took a road trip to Sedona (Jimmy and his GPS took us the long way) and saw the sights. We went to the Slide Rock State park which was very cool where we slide down natural water slides. The rest of the weekend we relaxed and I got to spend quality time with the BF and her zoo of pets (Jimmy, 4 dogs, 1 cat).

Our vacation was amazing and it was a great way to celebrate our anniversaries. I can't believe that we have been married almost a year. Wow, how the time flys. Now we have the rest of the summer to look forward to and the new adventures to come. Hopefully the weather stays nice. I plan to spend it outside when we aren't at work. Next up are a couple of camping trips, our birthdays, my older brothers wedding, and other fun and new adventures!!
