Our anniversary was on monday and I can't believe that it has already been a year since Joey and I were married. Wow...how time flies. Since going to Vegas was our anniversary celebration and present to each other, we kept things pretty low key. We both had to work on Monday so that night we went out to dinner, PF Changes, because we were both craving lettuce wraps. Then we went home and had a quiet evening. We had champagne with our wedding cake. I wasn't expecting the wedding cake to be good since it had been frozed for a year but it was sooooo good and I am glad I finally got to taste it since we didn't get to eat any at our own wedding (they cleaned it up before we got to it). Joey and I also gave each other small gifts containing some sort of paper since paper is tradionally what you give on a first wedding anniversary. I gave Joey a framed charcol drawing of one of our favorite wedding photo's. He made me a photo book of all of the pictures and memories we had during our first year of marriage. This book is amazing and he put so much time into it. I felt bad because my gift to him seemed way lame compared to what he gave me(it didn't turn out like I thought it would), but he said he liked it. Then we just relaxed the rest of the evening. Joey had his big interview yesterday so he needed to prepare for it. However, our anniversary celebration did continue yesterday. I felt like total ass the next morning, very naucious (probably a combo from the PF changes and the wedding cake that was frozed for a year) and didn't go to work. So I stayed home and slept it off while Joey went to his interview. When he got home form his two hour!!!! interview I felt better so we decided to have "Joey and Anna's day of fun." Just because I felt better it really wasn't worth it to get ready for work and ride the bus, so we went bowling and then saw "The Dark Knight."
SOOOOOO....our anniversary celebration was awesome...a week in Vegas, I got to see my Elysia, I got an sweet photo book in which I will keep forever, and I got to spend quality time with my boo... life is awesome and I couldn't be happier!!! So the next thing I will be anxious for is waiting to hear if Joey gets into the RLD (retail leadership training program). They say he will find out at the end of August...but I really hope that is sooner.
Happy 6th Birthday Jovie!
